I was a part of a choir, years ago. It wasn’t anything major, but just an afterschool recreational activity with my friends and others who enjoyed singing. We would practice once or twice a week and rehearse for our holiday concert to impress our parents, who would be sitting in the audience. I’m sure a lot of us have those memories.
I’m sure that not a lot of us though found that we had a lot of fun choosing the songs we wanted to sing. The songs were selected for us, right? Now, we’re not quite sure if the choir in the video below got to choose the song they’re performing to, but it sure is a goofy choice—we’re also sure they had a great time practicing for this one!
The group of boys is performing the classic “Meow” song for their audience, and it’s fantastic to see that they’re able to do so without as much as cracking a smile! Something like this song takes a lot of will NOT to laugh out loud, and we commend these boys for passing the test! Otherwise, it’s often expected of young students to giggle or stray away from the routine if they have to laugh.
The “Meow” song has been around for thousands of years. It’s composition dates back to the early 18oo’s and the original name for this piece is “Duetto buffo di due gatti” which means a “humorous duet for two cats.” Interesting, to say the least!
Click on the video below and watch the boys give a flawless, yet hilarious, performance. If they managed to make you laugh, then don’t forget to like and share this post to spread the cheer!
